Why us
Why North Wales businesses choose our pressure washes
Method chosen by surface
Render gets soft washed. Concrete gets pressure. We do not own one machine and use it on everything.
Treated, not just blasted
A biocidal wash kills growth at the root, so it stays clean far longer than water alone.
Run-off managed
Drains and gullies protected, and disposal agreed with you before we start.
Honest about outcomes
Some staining does not come out. We will say so before you pay us to find out.
What it is
Pressure & Soft Washing, built to last in North Wales
Soft washing kills algae and lichen at the root, so the surface stays clean for a season or two. It does it without forcing water behind render or taking the face off soft stone.
- Surface assessed and the method chosen to suit it — soft wash or pressure, never one for everything
- Render, cladding and painted masonry soft washed at low pressure with a biocidal treatment
- Block paving, concrete and tarmac pressure cleaned, with re-sanding of joints where needed
- Car parks, service yards, loading bays and bin stores
- Drains and gullies protected, and run-off managed to the site's requirements
- Windows, vents, seals and planting protected before we start
Choices
The pressure wash options we offer
Three broad jobs, and they are genuinely different work with different equipment.
Building soft wash
Render, cladding, painted masonry and roofs. Low pressure and biocidal treatment, which kills the growth at the root so it does not return by spring.
Hard surface pressure clean
Car parks, service yards, paths, driveways and paving. High pressure with rotary surface cleaners for an even finish rather than wand stripes.
Post-construction wash down
Cleaning site muck, cement splash and tyre tracking off external areas before handover. Usually booked alongside a builders clean.
What is the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?
High pressure on render or old stone can strip the surface and push water into the wall, which causes lasting damage. So the surface decides the method, not the machine we happen to own.
Choosing between them is about the surface, not the amount of dirt. Pressure washing removes what is sitting on top — mud, moss, cement, tyre marks — and it suits hard, sound surfaces like car parks, service yards and paving. Soft washing applies a biocide at low pressure and kills algae, lichen and moss at the root, so it comes back far more slowly. Render, cladding, painted masonry, roofs and anything old or listed need soft washing. A pressure lance on lime render or painted stone strips the coating and drives water into the wall, and the repair bill is an elevation rather than a clean. If we are unsure, we test a small area first and show you.
Why growth returns fast in North Wales
Coastal properties get salt and sand instead of growth, which needs rinsing. A soft wash with a biocide buys you a season or two. Pressure alone buys months.
How we work
Our pressure wash process at a glance
No estimate priced off a drawing, and no crew arriving without knowing what they have walked into.

We come and look
We walk your building before we price it. Size, access, water, power, and what the other trades have left behind.

Living with it
Looking after your pressure wash
Anything cleaned will green up again — the question is how fast, and that depends on aspect and shelter far more than on the clean. A north-facing wall under trees will need doing more often than a south-facing one, and no treatment changes that. Keeping gutters clear and cutting back planting that holds damp against a wall does more for the interval than any product. Avoid domestic pressure washers on block paving: they blow the jointing sand out, and loose blocks follow.

FAQs
Common pressure wash questions
Accredited and insured
SSIP through SMAS Worksafe, CITB approved, NJORD for carpet cleaning, and a registered waste carrier with Natural Resources Wales. £10m insured. Certificates and RAMS go out with every quote, not on request.
It can, easily, and it is the most common damage we are asked to look at. High pressure can strip the surface of render, force water behind it and cause blown patches that cost far more to fix than the clean cost. Render should be soft washed: low pressure with a treatment that kills the growth chemically. Anyone quoting to pressure wash render is telling you something useful about how they work.
With a soft wash and biocidal treatment, typically two to three years on an average elevation, and appreciably less on a north-facing wall or anywhere shaded and damp. Pressure alone, with no treatment, often greens up within a year because the spores are still in the surface. Aspect and shelter matter more than anything we can put on it.
Yes — block paving, concrete, tarmac and resin. On block paving the joints normally need re-sanding afterwards, because cleaning removes the kiln-dried sand that keeps the blocks locked together. We include that rather than leaving you with a clean driveway that starts moving underfoot.
We protect drains and gullies before we start and manage run-off to whatever the site requires. On commercial sites, particularly anywhere with an interceptor or a site drainage plan, tell us at quote stage and we will work to it. It occasionally changes the method, which is better known in advance than discovered mid-job.
