Commercial cleaning in Pwllheli, done properly

Pwllheli is the market town for the whole Llŷn, so it has a working population and a proper commercial centre. It also has Hafan Pwllheli, one of the biggest marinas in Wales.

The marina drives a lot of what we do. Boatyards, chandlery and the clubhouse carry salt, grease and antifoul dust that a normal office specification does not cover. Glass facing the harbour needs doing monthly rather than quarterly. Hard floors near a slipway take in grit constantly — that is a matting and frequency question more than a deep-clean one, and the right answer saves you money.

The town is a mix. A Victorian core along Stryd Fawr with flats above the shops, then newer stock spreading out towards Y Ffor and Abererch. The seasonal swing is severe. Between the marina, the caravan parks and the holiday stock along the bay, August looks nothing like February, and the changeover work through those months is the busiest we do on the peninsula.

Weather is why outside work is priced differently here. Pwllheli faces into Cardigan Bay and sits open to the south-westerlies coming round the end of the Llŷn. Nothing slows them down. Salt reaches well inland, render greens up on the sheltered walls and hazes on the exposed ones.

Cyngor Gwynedd is the council. This is one of the strongest Welsh-speaking towns in Wales, and our crews are Welsh speakers.

The Llŷn works as one round, which is the only way changeover cleaning holds together.

Yes. Hafan Pwllheli and the premises around it are normal work for us. Marine buildings need their own specification — salt and antifoul dust on the glass, grit tracked in from the slipways, and hard floors that need the right matting.

Yes, and it is worth booking the season rather than the week. The Llŷn turns over almost entirely on the same days through summer, so capacity is the constraint, not willingness. Give us the schedule in advance and we will resource it properly; ring us on the Friday of a bank holiday and we will be honest that we probably cannot.

Because the town sits open to Cardigan Bay with nothing to break the wind. Salt carries a long way inland here, and glass on a south or west elevation will haze within weeks rather than months. Anything at the marina or along the front generally wants monthly through the season. Further back into the town you can usually stretch it, and we will say so rather than sell you a frequency you do not need.

Yes. This is one of the strongest Welsh-speaking areas in the country and most site conversations — with caretakers, tenants, site managers — happen in Welsh as a matter of course. It makes no difference to the standard of the clean, but it makes the job run more easily for everyone involved.

All of it. Abersoch, Nefyn, Morfa Nefyn, Llanbedrog, Aberdaron and the villages between them are a normal run, and we also work back up through Criccieth and Porthmadog. No call-out charge anywhere on the peninsula.
