What is commercial contract cleaning?
Commercial contract cleaning is a recurring cleaning service for a business premises, carried out to an agreed specification and frequency — daily, several times a week, or weekly. It typically covers offices, washrooms, kitchens and communal areas, with periodic deep-clean tasks scheduled separately. Contracts normally set out the hours, the tasks, the products and equipment used, cover arrangements for absence, and the review process. Consumables such as hand towels, soap and bin liners may be supplied by the contractor or the client.

It costs more than subcontracting and it is the single biggest reason contracts hold up over time: when someone is off, we arrange cover because they are our staff and it is our problem. Subcontracted cleaning is where most of the horror stories in this trade start.
We cover it. Chasing cover is our job, not yours. If a site is going to be affected — a same-day absence on a small site, say — we tell you the same day.
